As their foreheads press together, Wei Wuxian feels his eyes grow a little warm with emotion and he breathes in heavily to keep himself in check. His arms wrap tightly around Lan Wangji and he hugs him, trying to convey his emotion in the hug. Of course, in the process, the rabbit wiggles out from between them and hops out of their lap onto the grass again. It gets a watery chuckle from Wei Wuxian but he only presses closer instead. ]

[ There's no room for thank yous or apologies between them but it's covering up what he really wants to say, which is I love you, of course. ]
[ Though perhaps this time it isn't so bad to hear it. Not like those times in the past when such words would fill him with worry as they seemed to insert an even greater distance between them each time they were spoken.
But here they invite closeness, Wei Wuxian's arms tightening around him as Lan Wangji rests his chin atop his head, letting his eyes flutter closed as he breathes in the scent, appreciates the warmth, and it takes a moment before he even remembers this whole conversation had started at mention of a departed friend. ]
When you are ready, I shall purchase dinner. Wine. Dessert.
[ And anything else that will put a smile on his Wei Ying's face. ]
